Wayland Michigan’s Gun Lake Casino is adding another sportsbook to the state’s growing list of retail sports betting locations. The Stage 131 Sportsbook and Lounge is set to open at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 3.
Gun Lake Casino is owned by the Match-E-Be-Nash-She-Wish Band of Pottawatomi Indians
Jose Flores, Vice President and General Manager of Gun Lake Casino, said: “Our dedication to provide an exceptional sports betting experience stems from our continued reputation of top quality entertainment. We have worked diligently to create a comfortable and exciting atmosphere within Stage 131 Sportsbook and Lounge for all guests interested in sports betting.”
Gun Lake And Parx
Pennsylvania-based Parx Casino is Gun Lake’s sports betting and online casino partner. Parx is Pennsylvania’s largest casino, and the move to open a sportsbook in partnership with Michigan’s Gun Lake Casino brings the brand to a new market. Parx will operate the retail sportsbook at Gun Lake and run online sports betting and casino gaming under the Gun Lake license once authorized in Michigan.
In a March press release announcing the partnership, Senior Vice President of Interactive Gaming and sports for Parx said, “Parx Casino® is thrilled to partner with Gun Lake Casino to power their online and retail sports betting business as well as online casino products. We’re excited to bring our expertise in effective, profitable customer acquisition and online product operation to the vast Michigan customer base.”
Online Coming Soon
Michigan is on the precipice of launching full online sports betting and gaming. In December 2019, it became one of only five states to legalize online casino gaming, online sportsbooks, and Daily Fantasy Sports.
After a long regulatory process, all signs point to a November launch for Michigan’s online sports betting presence. And with multiple partnerships solidified in the Great Lakes State, Michiganders will have a wealth of operators to choose from.
