Today, the Michigan Gaming Control Board authorized its 11th online gaming and sports betting operator. Following the authorization, Four Winds Casinos and partner Pala Interactive launched online casino and online sports betting at noon on February 15, 2021.
Four Winds Casinos in Michigan are operated by the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians. Currently, 11 operators are authorized to provide both online casinos and online sportsbooks in Michigan. The 12th operator, Lac Vieux Desert Tribe, is partnered with PointsBet and is only authorized to provide online sports betting in Michigan.
“We welcome the addition of Four Winds Casinos and Pala Interactive to Michigan’s growing online gaming and sports wagering market,” said Richard S. Kalm, MGCB executive director. “Their participation will generate revenue to support education, economic development and the Pokagon Band’s tribal community.”
