Eagle Casino & Sports was the last online gambling brand to market in Michigan. However, it has wasted no time getting into the live casino space.
The Saginaw Chippewa-owned Soaring Eagle Gaming, which created the new online casino, announced on Monday that it had struck a deal with live dealer provider Evolution.
Live dealer casino games are all the rage in the US online gambling space. They provide a hybrid experience, combining the convenience of online play with the social experience of a real casino.
Players use a familiar digital interface to place their bets. A real human dealer then flips the cards or spins the roulette wheel. The games are broadcast to the player via live stream from a studio in the town of Southfield, MI.
Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort CEO Melinda Coffin talked up the new games in a press release:
In table games alone, Soaring Eagle prides itself on offering the hottest gaming action in the Midwest. Now our players will be able to experience the same thrill online, not only playing the casino classics but also exciting and entertaining game show-style games. We are confident that customers old and new are going to love what is the latest in a long line of Soaring Eagle developments.
From day one, Eagle Casino & Sports is offering a wide range of Evolution’s titles. Blackjack is, across the board, the most popular live dealer product, followed by roulette. Eagle Casino & Sports has some more obscure games in the mix too.

The First Michigan Tribal Brand To Partner With Evolution
Michigan tribal gaming organizations hold 12 of the 15 online gambling licenses in the state. Most elected to partner with major national brands like DraftKings Casino and Golden Nugget in order to offer gamblers a familiar product.
However, four elected to blaze their own trail and count on the visibility of their retail casino brands. In addition to Soaring Eagle, these are: Firekeepers, Four Winds, and Play Gun Lake.
Because of the need to reinvent the wheel a little, these brands took longer to get the market. They’ve also tended to offer a more limited range of games than the national brands, as the latter have pre-existing relationships with numerous third-party suppliers, while the tribal brands are starting from scratch.
When Evolution opened its Michigan studio in July last year, all 11 national brands had the deals and regulatory approval to offer the games from the start. That includes the three that are partnered with the Detroit commercial casinos.
Eagle Casino & Sports, despite being the last to launch, is the first of the tribal brands to strike a deal with Evolution. Of the other three, only Play Gun Lake has live dealer games, which it streams from a smaller studio operated by Evolution’s rival, Playtech. Gun Lake’s technology partner, Parx Interactive, has a close relationship with Playtech.
