This week, the Detroit Lions will face another formidable opponent when they travel out west to play the Seattle Seahawks. That is what you would usually say. This season has seen the Seahawks struggle quite a bit. However, many sportsbooks have the Lions listed as seven-point underdogs despite Seattle’s issues.
With that point spread and a lot of faith in the Lions, taking Detroit and the points may not be a bad idea. While you think about putting money down on the Lions, there are several prop bets you should consider as well.
Lions Vs. Seahawks Prop Bets
Lions To Score First And Lose (+260 at PointsBet)
Seahawks To Score First And Lose (+650 at PointsBet)
The Lions have scored first in two games since their bye back in Week Nine. That’s two out of seven games. In one, they did win versus the Cardinals after jumping out to a 17-0 halftime lead. Seattle has scored first in two of its last seven games. They won one and lost one.
Neither team has been quick to put points on the board this season, but the Seahawks appear to be playing worse as the season goes on while Detroit is playing better. After watching the Seahawks fade down the stretch against the Bears last week, it is easier to see Seattle scoring first and losing than it is to see Detroit do that because Detroit will probably not score first.

Lions To Score First And Win (+450 at PointsBet)
Seahawks To Score First And Win (+100 at BetRivers)
While the Seahawks are struggling this season, they have a top-10 scoring defense and some of the best playmakers in the NFL on offense. The Lions have been playing well enough to be competitive in most games, but they still end up losing most of the time.
Seattle is not a lock to score first in this game, but it would not be shocking if they did. You’ll have to decide whether the risk is worth the reward.

Any Quarter To End Scoreless (Yes +250/No -345 at BetRivers)
In its last seven games, Detroit has only had two such quarters, including overtime. Seattle has had three, with two coming in one game. However, with how both teams have played lately, there could be value in taking YES.
Race To 10 Points
Seahawks (-190 at BetMGM); Lions (+175 at PointsBet); Neither (+12,5000 at PointsBet)
Neither team has been quick to score this season. Over Detroit’s last seven games, it was the first to 10 points twice. The Seahawks did it three times in their last seven. All three times for the Seahawks have been in their last three games. Both of Detroit’s were in their last two games.
Overall, Seattle seems to play better early and then fades in the second half, while Detroit appears to play its best later in the game.
Race To 20 Points
Seahawks (-160 at DraftKings); Lions (+295 at DraftKings); Neither (+500 at BetRivers)
The Lions have failed to score 20+ points in 12 of 15 games. Seattle has been unable to do so in seven, four of which came in their last seven games. On the season, the Seahawks are averaging 20.4 points per game. It would not be shocking if neither team reached 20 points in this game.
Both Teams To Score 20+ Points: Yes (+185 at BetMGM); No (-250 at DraftKings)
It would not be shocking to see the Seahawks crack 20 points in this game, but it would also not be shocking if the Lions failed to hit that mark since they have fallen short in most of their games this season.
Total Punts Over/Under 9.5 (Over -105/Under -115 at Caesars)
Neither team is playing great offense this season. Despite that, Lions games have featured 10+ punts three times in the last seven. It has only happened once in Seattle’s last seven. However, the tally for each team benefitted from several drives ending in turnovers (interception, fumble, on downs, missed field goal).
