2021 Masters Michigan Betting Odds And Tips

Pack your bags and get ready for the trip of a lifetime toa. Errr’ perhaps not – due to the COVID-19 pandemic there will only be a limited amount of fans present ata National in Georgia. In 2020, the Masters was expected to take place in April but was postponed to November. Unfortunately, Michigan online sports betting was not live at this time. For the first time in 2021, Michigan sports bettors will get the opportunity to bet on the Masters!

In November, Dustin Johnson (+800) took home the green jacket. He is once again the favorite to win the tournament–an even bigger favorite than he was last year. 2021 Masters Michigan Odds

Odds are provided by BetMGM Sportsbook Michigan

Dustin Johnson +600 Rory Mcllroy +1100
Brooks Koepka +1200 Bryson DeChambeau +1200
Jon Rahm+1200 Justin Thomas +1200
Xander Schauffele +1600 Jordan Spieth +1600
Patrick Cantlay +2200 Patrick Reed +2500
Webb Simpson +2800 Collin Morikawa +3300
Daniel Berger +3300 Hideki Matsuyama +3300
Tony Finau +3300 Tiger Woods +3500

As we can see, Dustin Johnson is a clear favorite to win the Masters again this year. When the first golfer tees off in April, it will be six months since the 2020 Masters took place in November. It is clear that sportsbooks believe that the short turnaround time is a major advantage to Dustin Johnson.

However, there have only been three golfers to win back-to-back masters tournaments. Jack Nicklaus, Nick Faldo, and Tiger Woods. This would put Dustin Johnson into some elite company in the golfing world.

Masters Tips And Value Picks

The massive favoritism towards Dustin Johnson gives reason for pause but also helps competitors. For instance, there is some serious value on his competitors who typically compete at the top level.

Bryson DeChambeau (+1200)

He was tied with Dustin Johnson in November as the favorite to win the masters (+800). Bryson was victorious in the US Open in September and has not been very active since then. DeChambeau placed 34th in the 2020 Masters and 7th in the Sentry Tournament.

Bryson did not play well at the Masters in November and frankly has not done well ata historically. The course has not been too kind to Bryson, but his skills are simply too much to overlook at the price. Bryson dominated the field at the US Open and looked fantastic. He has only competed twice since then, so expect Bryson to be well-rested headed into the April competition.

Justin Day (+5000)

A seemingly forgotten name, Justin Day has actually had some success ata. At 50:1, you will have a hard time finding someone with better odds than Day. In 2019, when Tiger Woods famously won, Day was tied for 5th at -11 ina. The reason that Day is 50:1 is that he missed the cut ata in November.

This does not scare me too far away from the former contender based on his past successes. Furthermore, Day placed 7th at Pebble Beach in February, earning $228,930 for his performance. At 50:1 (1.96% implied) I would not recommend a big bet on Day, but a small sprinkle could pay huge dividends.

Rickie Fowler (+6600)

Fowler has a strong pedigree in the golfing community despite having never won a major tournament. Fowler will look to tame his demons this year, he has finished in the top ten ata in two of the last three tournaments. He famously lost to Patrick Reed in 2018 and finished second so we know he has the skills to get there.

The 66:1 odds (1.49% implied) are extremely favorable but have some caveats. The major issue with this bet is that Fowler has not competed well at all recently. At the US Open, he totally imploded and ended at +17. He has not placed in the top 20 in any of his last 10 appearances. Not surprisingly, Fowler did show some success at the Masters in 2020 finishing 29th (-3).
